Tony Villatoro is a resident with the Houston Church Planting Network for the 2014-2015 year. He plans to plant a church in Houston.
Tony Villatoro married his sweet wife, Ruthie, in November 27, 2011. Having met her at a youth camp in 2001, their relationship became one long story with many glimpses of God’s grace. Ruthie is a talented graphic designer and Tony is in love with her.
Before meeting his wife, Tony had been involved in ministry for quite some time. Having preached his first sermon at the age of 14, he consistently demonstrated a love for the word of God and a great desire to see people’s lives changed by the Spirit of God. Out of high school, Tony took a position as full-time youth pastor for a local church.
It was the love for God’s word that motivated him to enroll at College of Biblical Studies. There he was illuminated by God’s Spirit and God’s word to believe that salvation was by grace alone through faith alone and not by works.
Tony has church planting experience having planted Glorious Grace Church in 2010. This bilingual church in the Spring Branch area was a time of great learning and saw many people come to this community of faith. Tony has now transitioned to become a church planting resident with the Houston Church Planting Network to get refreshed, retrained, and refocused to lead a movement of disciples that make other disciples that plant churches.
